Rally Around the Flag

Post 30 Educates Students on Flag Advocacy

Students in Ms. Henderson’s 5th grade class at Francis Hugh Wardlaw Academy in Johnston South Carolina warmly welcomed members of Post 30 into their classroom on August 7, 2023 to talk about the U.S. flag. We had a great time speaking with them and answering their many excellent questions about flag etiquette, history, and how to raise, lower, and fold the flag. Every one of them did an outstanding job, showing a great deal of interest and proper respect as they practiced folding and raising the flag. Thanks to Wardlaw Academy, Ms. Henderson and her entire class for giving Post 30 the opportunity to get to know each other better and to share in the customs surrounding one of our country’s most enduring symbols.

Post 30 is dedicated to improving the lives of veterans and offers links to local and national resources for assistance. Visit our Veterans Resources page for more information.
